Usually I can just right-click the taskbar, click (or un-click) auto-hide, and Apply, then OK, then do it again, and the problem disappears. Anonymous hi, i do exactly that but the taskbar still hides. So having the taskbar constantly up means your losing the all important slide control (and possibly more stuff) at the bottom of any software window.
