Once focus is on the Spelling floating window, you can dismiss it with Escape, or use Tab to move to the various controls, and with the replacement textbox focused, you can Grammar Check As with Pages, when you next run a spell-checking routine, the program will use the appropriate dictionary for the altered sections. There is no option to set a specific paragraph or section as a specific language, but this will allow you to spell check the document in a different language.

How can I check what dictionary I'm using? (I fear I might have none installed.) Can I change the language for spell-check, without changing the system language? All i had to do was highlight the text not spell checked and select "british english".... When I did this it also seemed to set the preferences so new documents are created with 'Check Spelling as you Type' active. I was having the same frustrating problem with spell check.
