It worked. Keyboard was immediately recognized. Didn't think it would work but it did. If you don't consider that a reset, then fine, but for all intents and purposes, it is. pop over to these guys

You could try a PRAM reset on the iMac if you have a wired keyboard to hand, but not sure this would help, maybe worth a try.
