EDIT: Later in the evening, when I wanted to keep my brightness low, the bug recurred, then spontaneously disappeared again. Next, toggle the auto-brightness setting back to "on," and it should be calibrated and working properly.
I also experience the same issue that you do. Macbook Reset Smc If that doesn't work, you can try calibrating both the maximum and minimum levels. I did not know how this setting worked the first time either.Hope this helps someone. To test go into a dark room and set it to the lowest setting you find comfortable.
