For the cabling, while the DC component (that which connects to your computer) is permanently attached to the power supply, the AC component (that which connects to the wall) has the Maybe the leaving for 2-3 mins worked but I was unaware because I took it away and came back, and the MagSafe did sort itself out as indicated.
