The heat worked for two months. The cambelt and water-pump were due for a change anyway and that was the next job, but it still didn't help. My mechanic says the heat does stay on at higher rpms so perhaps it is the head gasket? Basically a I bought an A4 Avant SE 2L petrol 2005 in Summer 2011. Don't know location on A4. He's asked a friend of his to take a look at it, so it's gone there this week.
